Harald Rieder

Harald Rieder is a professor for meteorology and climatology in the Institute of Meteorology and Climatology, BOKU University in Vienna. His research focus is on climate dynamics, atmospheric composition and chemistry, extreme events. He is a co-chair of the Second Austrian Assessment Report on Climate Change, which was published in 2025. In GERACLE, he will supervise the PhD students and postdocs on topics related to Earth-system monitoring.
