Dovile Rasinskaite is an expert in energetic particle dynamics in the Earth’s inner magnetosphere. In her past work, she has characterized the number density and temperature of energetic electrons in the inner magnetosphere and their evolution during substorms. Within the GERACLE project, she will be quantifying energetic electron precipitation into the Earth’s atmosphere during extreme events, including geomagnetic excursions, using a combination of in situ particle measurements and ground-based observations.
