Shahnoor Alam

Shahnoor Alam is one of the two GERACLE PhD students working at GFZ. His tasks will include sampling from an archived and available sediment drill core and performing paleo- and rock magnetic measurements for one location previously devoid of data for the time intervals of interest for this project. Shahnoor will be involved in the geomagnetic inverse modelling of the events and in using the resulting model as input for the magnetospheric-atmospheric modelling (with help of other PIs: Emilia Kilpua and Ilya Usoskin).
