Eleanna Asvestari

Senior researcher

Eleanna Asvestari is currently an academy fellow at UH. Her key task in the project will be to investigate the extreme solar storms and their propagation in the interplanetary medium as well as solar wind – magnetosphere coupling. Eleanna has an extensive experience with EUHFORIA heliospheric simulations, solar wind streams and coronal mass ejections, both in remote-sensing and in-situ observations. She will also supervise one PhD student, together with the Emilia Kilpua. Eleanna will interact actively with all other teams, with Ilya Usoskin regarding the use of the new magnetospheric model, with Monika Korte regarding the GRE field conditions and with Harald Rieder regarding the precipitation of electrons.
